I will figure out how to make it post here as well. There's got to be a way!
I've jumped in with all 4 feet on this one - I've been making jewelry like mad since Christmas and to my surprise, people want to purchase my pieces! So I'm going to work on making it a real business venture. I have a FB page for Glass Gem Jewelry (to be active soon) and I will get the tab up and running here for the Glass Gem Jewelry Shop - everything from creative wire work to glass and semi precious beads. I'm excited to share my creativity with all of you (and if some people want to have a little bit of my creativity for their own, I won't complain)!
In addition to this new venture, I've also taught a class or two on jewelry making now. Do let me know if you have a group that would like to learn a little bit more about working with wire to create some fancy designs.
For the last 10-11 months I've been creating a crochet coral reef display and playscape for the tot table in the children's section. It's awesome fun and nice bright colors. Go check it out in person if you're in town or near by. If not, here are some photos of it on display. Be sure to check out my Facebook page for more photos of the reef. https://www.facebook.com/LessonsByBeth
Starting this fall I will be offering two classes through Ann Arbor's Recreation and Education Department. Folk music and dance - including, but not limited to, play party dances, contra dances, English dance and long sword dancing. Grades K-8.
Also I will be offering a finger knitting class where students in 2nd - 8th grade will learn to finger knit and then weave their knit strands into squares to make coasters, blankets, pillow covers, or mini rugs.
Keep a look out in the Ann Arbor Rec & Ed flyers as well as in their catalogue for fall. (Both classes are currently scheduled for Ann Arbor Open School, finger knitting will also be at Wines.)

Check books and cash are not staples of everyone's pocket book these days, but credit cards are. To make life easier I've decided to join the 21st century and begin accepting credit cards as a possible payment option for lessons.
Ask me about details!
Looking for an activity for your child to do this summer so they're not "bored"? Try summer music lessons! Have a 4th-going on 5th grader that wants to start band in the fall? Give them a leg up on their new instrument with beginning lessons on their new instrument.
I teach piano, guitar, recorder, flute, oboe, cornet/trumpet and clarinet.
Now scheduling summer-time lessons. M-Th between 11am and 6pm. Email me with your preferred times and days. Please be sure to include any vacation weeks/days you are taking so we can work to schedule around those dates as well.
There will be no lessons June 19-27 or July 19-27.
I look forward to working with you and your children this summer!
I'm looking forward to teaching the new music class on Thursday. Still spaces open in all 3 classes. It's going to be so much fun!
I just uploaded some new stuff in the "Forms and Docs" area of the site. A bit of music, some rhythm and note flash cards as well as practice charts. More is coming, so be sure to check back!
